90 Second Bread
When beginning a new nutrition approach there is often as much or more fear present making the needed adaptations to adhere to the principles. We live in awesome times though, the number of people attempting to transform their health increases daily. With these trends comes new solutions as to how to fully thrive while eating in a way that prioritizes optimal health & strength. 90 second bread is a most delicious example!
We’ve taken this amazingly delicious and easy to make keto 90 second bread and boosted it’s health benefits! This recipe is guaranteed to satisfy desires for bread to stay in ketosis. Our favorite ways to devour this 90 second bread:
1, Breakfast Sandwiches!
2. To mop up egg yolk.
3. With butter or almond butter.
4. Chicken or egg salad.
5. Anytime bread is wanted!
Vigorous 90 Second Bread Recipe
- Coat the sides and bottom of a coffee mug or similar cup with 1 tablespoon of butter (or coconut oil). I will melt the butter/oil first and add it to the mug.
- Add one large egg.
- Add 1/4 cup almond flour. (Other nut based flours can be used but will alter the carb total).
- Add 1/4 teaspoon of baking powder.
- Add 1-3 teaspoons of potato starch. (Here is our unique addition, read below as to why). *
- Mix all ingredients together thoroughly.
- Cook for 90 seconds in the microwave. (I’m microwave-phobic but make an exception here, though I may leaver the room hahaha).
- Allow to cool for several minutes, then remove.
- Slice and enjoy!
* Using potato starch adds resistant starch into the diet. This is important as resistant starch feeds necessary gut bacteria that we need to thrive to feel, function and look our best. Potato starch is flavorless so our bread tastes the same. When first using it in recipes or consuming by itself there may be an unwanted side effect of gassiness as a byproduct of the gut bacteria feasting.
