Transformation Description
Gavin was struggling to get motivated before the A12… It is a program that takes you out of your comfort zone, but it was worth it…
In the 12 weeks I lost over 20lbs and a huge amount of that was fat, just look at the pictures I mean I am feeling looking and performing better than the 18 year old me that played rugby 5 times a week.
For months before starting the A12, I was struggling to get motivated, although I felt I was doing well in my career, I was heading into exams, which I couldn’t fully focus on.
Even though I had great family, friends and support network around me, I felt alone and like I was not doing a very good job keeping my head above water.
In March I cycled the Camino with my family, which was an eye opener of where my own physical fitness was. Coming from a rugby background in sports I was always terrified of a coach telling me I wasn’t physically big enough to be selected.
Even after my decision to hang up my boots, I ate very close to the same diet principles to when I played. And although feeling strong and reasonably fit without the competitive environment or any specific goals I became bored and uncomfortable in my own skin.
Things usually get worse before they get better
I wanted a challenge and I wanted to do something for myself that I could control, although mentally at a low, I knew physically investing in something I could take control of would help me or at least give me a ladder to climb up.
After talking to Jay about different goals and opportunities for me in the future, I committed to the Amazing 12 program.Gavin was struggling to get motivated before the A12… It is a program that takes you out of your comfort zone, but it was worth it…
Structuring my week allowing me a getaway for 1 hour each day was fantastic for me. Learning a new way of structuring programs and nutrition plans was inspiring.
All through the program, the level of coaching was great, as was the attention shown to each individual. When illness, injury or dip in energy levels intervened, there was constant reassurance / pathway to resolve any issue.
It is a program that takes you out of your comfort zone, well especially mine! But it was worth it and the results speak for themselves.
When I look at the photos at first glance I do still think what the odd person has commented, saying “Photoshop”, “twin brothers looking well”, juice etc. But on thought and reflection, I see the hard work, I see the extra sprints I did in the early mornings, I see the time I spent preparing my food, I also see the lows of slipping up, but overall the highs of the hard work, the friendships made, teamwork, the laughs and the relief I felt of stepping into impact and the relief I felt stepping out of impact after a hard session.
I really enjoyed the challenge of the Amazing 12 program and would recommend it highly to anyone that is looking for something different that will enable a dramatic and lasting physical and mental change.
